Becoming a Great Negotiator, with Brian Bouchard of Sheehan Phinney


The premise of this program is to teach the basics of being a good negotiator. It covers characteristics and strategies to help navigate through the stages of negotiation, from pre-mid-post negotiation. It talks about the BATNA, the Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement and the ZOPA, Zone of Potential Agreement, and takes you through a simulation to practice the strategies of negotiation. From an HR standpoint, this can be very valuable when negotiating salaries and benefits with potential employees, as well as with vendors.
